Why I do this work

Mike Andryszewski

Growing up wasn't easy. In the middle of chaos, the one place I consistently found peace was at my grandmother's house. Every night I stayed there, she'd rub my back before bed.

It was simple. And it changed everything. That ritual taught me what touch can do when it's given with care: it calms the nervous system, restores trust in the body, and makes you feel safe again.

That's why I became a massage therapist — so others can access that same comfort, healing, and restoration. My path has taken me through years of yoga as a monk, Thai massage study in Chiang Mai, and advanced bodywork training in the U.S. Today I bring that full range into my practice in Catskill, NY.

Common questions

How do I choose 60 vs 90 minutes?

If you want full-body work and focused deep work, choose 90 minutes. If you have one primary issue area, 60 minutes can be great.

Is deep tissue supposed to hurt?

No. We can go deep without forcing. I work with your nervous system, not against it.

Do I need to talk during the session?

Only if you want to. Silence is welcome. So is sharing what you're noticing.

Can this support stress or trauma held in the body?

Yes — many people find this work supportive. I approach the body with care and consent, always at a pace that feels safe. (This is not a replacement for mental health or medical care.)

Where are you located?

My office is on Main St. in Catskill, NY. The exact location is sent after you book.

What's your cancellation policy?

72+ hours: no fee. 24–72 hours: 50%. Under 24 hours: 100%. A credit card reserves your time; payment is due at the appointment (prepay welcome).
